Greta Van Fleet has dropped the video for “Heat Above” and it answers the important question of, “What would it look like if ‘Dream Police’-era Cheap Trick had a baby with T.Rex’s Marc Bolan?”
Embedded below, the band is decked out in all-white garb with various metallic accents and accessories. It’s all very ethereal and pretty, which perfectly compliments the gentle rock tune.
In a statement on the track, GVF said, “‘Heat Above’ is theatrical, eloquent, and exaggerated. This is a dream in the clouds, a moment of peace in the storm. Thematically, we are dead center in the cult of Heaven, surreal, strange, alive and free.”
“Heat Above” is the third track preview from the band’s second studio album, The Battle at Garden’s Gate, following ‘My Way, Soon’ and ‘Age of Machine.’
The Battle at Garden’s Gate is due out on April 16 and is currently available for pre-save on all major digital platforms here, with physical copies and album merch available at Shop.GretaVanFleet.com.
