Hatebreed Guitarist Provides Update After Brain Tumor Surgery: ‘I’m Improving Daily’

Hatebreed guitarist Wayne Lozinak has shared an update on his health after surgery to remove a benign brain tumor. He posted on Instagram that he is back home and recovering. The post includes a photo showing staples along his hairline from the top of his head to his ear.

“Last week was rough!” Lozinak wrote. “But I’m getting better every day. It will take some time to fully recover, but things are going well!”

He also thanked fans for their messages, explaining that he didn’t have his phone in the hospital, which is why he couldn’t respond sooner. “I just started looking over them today. I really appreciate it! It made me feel good!” he added.

In June, Hatebreed revealed that Lozinak experienced mild symptoms that raised concerns of a possible stroke while performing at England’s Download Festival. After seeking medical help, the tumor was discovered. The band expressed relief that Wayne’s diagnosis was the best possible outcome given the situation.

While Lozinak recovers, Hatebreed has continued to tour with a fill-in guitarist. Fans are sending their support and wishing him a speedy recovery.
