Jack White is known for being a huge baseball fan, and he recently achieved a big milestone: visiting all 30 MLB stadiums. He celebrated this accomplishment in a post on social media. The last stadium he visited was Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, where they played against White’s hometown team, the Detroit Tigers.
White described Citizens Bank Park as “a beautiful park” and shared photos from both outside and inside the stadium. However, he raised an interesting question: “Is it necessary to see a game in the temporary stadium where the Tampa Bay Rays are currently playing? Have we completed the journey or not since the stadium is only temporary?” He noted that he and his friends had already seen a game at the temporary home of the Athletics, Sutter Health Park in Sacramento. While we think White and his friends can officially declare “Mission: Accomplished,” we appreciate his desire for completion.
In other news, Jack White received his first cell phone for his 50th birthday, a gift from his wife, Olivia Jean. He shared this news in a joint Instagram post featuring a slideshow of him with his new phone. White humorously wrote, “Well y’all, it’s either all over for me now or just the beginning. I am now the reluctant owner of a cellular telephone for the first time in my life!” He thanked Olivia for the thoughtful gift and joked about how he had managed to avoid having a phone until now. He ended his post with a playful note, saying, “Can’t wait to talk to you all soon. My phone number is the square root of all of our combined social interaction times Pi.”
