James Corden Honors Taylor Hawkins, Looks Back at Foos’ ‘Carpool Karaoke’

James Corden took a moment during last night’s episode of The Late Late Show to pay tribute to Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

“He was a bright light. He lit up every room he ever walked into,” said Corden. “He was so joyous and full of light and love and all the things that you want in a human being. I have such fond memories of any of the times I got to spend with him.”

Corden added, “We just want to say that our thoughts go out to his family, his friends, his bandmates, the Foo Fighters fans who are all around the world. Taylor, thank you for everything you gave us while you were here.”

The clip below ends with a segment from the Foo Fighters’ appearance on ‘Carpool Karaoke’ where the band and Corden pull up to Guitar Center and are greeted by a massive photo of Hawkins at the entrance of the store. Everyone has a good laugh at the moment while Corden asks Hawkins, “Taylor, did you know that was there? Is that why you were like, ‘We should go by the Guitar Center!’?”

The clip ends with Corden, Hawkins and Dave Grohl each sitting behind drum kits and having a brief, but funny drum-off in the store.
