Rival Sons frontman Jay Buchanan has just released a new solo track titled “True Black.” This song will be featured on his debut solo album, *Weapons of Beauty*, set to drop on February 6. The album also includes the previously released single “Caroline.” Buchanan describes “True Black” as a stark contrast to “Caroline,” calling it a “burner” and encouraging fans to “get up!”
In addition to his music, you can catch Buchanan in the Bruce Springsteen biopic, *Deliver Me from Nowhere*, along with its soundtrack.
Rival Sons recently released their latest album, *LIGHTBRINGER*, which is a companion to *DARKFIGHTER*, both released in 2023.
In more personal news, Buchanan shared in an interview that his wife is currently fighting breast cancer. He expressed gratitude for the support and well wishes, stating, “I just really wanna focus on doing everything I can to make sure that she gets back to health.” He emphasized that the whole band is behind him during this tough time, saying, “We’re a family, and so everyone understands.” Buchanan plans to take some time off to care for his wife, who he believes will be okay.
