Jimi Hendrix: Cast of Late Guitarist’s Penis Heading to a Museum

Jimi Hendrix fans that happen to live in or will be traveling to Iceland in the near future will be able to see a cast of the late guitar icon’s penis.

The Icelandic Phallological Museum located in Reykjavik shared via their Twitter, “Hendrix phallus cast to The Icelandic Phallological Museum. It is with feelings of sadness and pride, that The Phallological Museum announces that prior to passing, Cynthia ʹPlaster Casterʹ Albritton, decided to donate to the museum with one of a few casts of Jimi Hendrix.” (As previously reported, Cynthia “Plaster Caster” Albritton, the iconic artist/groupie known for creating plaster casts of rock star penises, died last month at age 74 following an undisclosed long illness.)

For those not familiar with the Icelandic Phallological Museum, it describes itself as “…probably the only museum in the world to contain a collection of phallic specimens belonging to all the various types of mammal found in a single country.” The museum also boasts it “…contains a collection of more than two hundred penises and penile parts belonging to almost all the land and sea mammals that can be found in Iceland…It should be noted that the museum has also been fortunate enough to receive legally-certified gift tokens for four specimens belonging to Homo Sapiens.”

As for Hendrix’s penis cast, Blabbermouth notes, “The cast will be unveiled during a closed event which will take place at The Phallological Museum’s premises in downtown Reykjavik in early June.”
