John Oates Recruits Daryl Hall, Dave Grohl & More for Feeding America Charity Livestream

John Oates has brought together a diverse group of musicians for an upcoming livestream concert benefitting Feeding America.

Per Rolling Stone, Oates has gathered Daryl Hall, Dave Grohl, Bob Weir, Sammy Hagar, Jim James, Keb Mo, Shawn Colvin and Michael Franti for “Oates Song Fest 7908,” which is taking place on March 20.

In a statement, Oates said, “This will be an entertaining and innovative way for the music community to share their songwriting creativity in an effort to help feed Americas’ hungry families in need…Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, when it became clear that live shows would not be possible, [my wife] Aimee and I pivoted to the idea of creating a virtual version for charity, and Oates Song Fest 7908 was born.”

The livestream itself is free and will be hosted by NugsTV, and viewers are encouraged to donate during the event.
