Kaleo’s frontman, JJ Julius Son, is stepping into the cigar world. The singer of “Way Down We Go” has partnered with Kingmakers to launch his own signature cigar. This new cigar features an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade leaf and a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos.
According to a press release, the cigar starts with flavors of toasted almond, white pepper, and honeyed cream. It then develops into notes of cedar and citrus zest. The smoke is described as delicate in strength but rich in character.
JJ Julius Son shared his thoughts on the connection between music and cigars. He said, “For me, music and cigars share the same language — rhythm, nuance, and emotion. Every note or draw is about creating a moment you want to return to. This cigar is my way of offering that experience beyond the stage.”
The JJ x Kingmakers cigar is set to be available this fall.
In other news, Kaleo released their latest album, Mixed Emotions, in May. The band will continue their tour on August 31 in Jackson, Wyoming. Keep an eye out for both the new cigar and their upcoming shows!
