Lady Gaga Partners With VR Music Rhythm Game Beat Saber

Grammy Award-winning musician Lady Gaga has teamed up with leading VR music rhythm game Beat Saber for the release of the Beat Saber Lady Gaga Music Pack. The 10-song collection features a number of the singer’s most iconic tracks from throughout her career including “Bad Romance,” “Paparazzi” and “Telephone.”

The Beat Saber Lady Gaga Music Pack made its official launch at The Game Awards with a surprise announcement. It will be available on both the Quest and Rift platforms with a new environment inspired directly by the futuristic cyberpunk aesthetics of Gaga’s Grammy-nominated sixth studio album Chromatica.

The environment taps into the album’s neon and dark color palette complete with accompanying beautiful auroras. Within the game, huge energy poles light up the featured environment to the rhythm of the music.

The package will be available for $12.99, or $1.99 per song. It follows the release of the Beat Saber Billie Eilish Music Pack shared earlier this year in September. Eilish’s pack featured songs from her debut album when We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go as well as her sophomore follow-up Happier Than Ever.

“We’re discovering more and more fields and we’ll definitely be collaborating with the biggest artists. This is amazing, because big labels and huge artists are contacting us directly and trying to find ways to cooperate,” Jaroslav Beck, CEO, and co-founder of Beat Games, told Red Bull in 2019.

“Beat Saber, with the visuals, the electronic music just fits. We definitely want to discover more styles, but we need to be sure that it’ll fit the visuals. There will be more music styles, but we need to tweak the visuals a little bit for it to feel natural.”
