Simply Red will join headliners Lionel Richie, Simple Minds, UB40 featuring Ali and Astro, and David Gray (celebrating the 20th anniversary of his seminal album White Ladder) on the line-up for the 2022 edition of the popular concert series, Nocturne Live, at Oxford’s Blenheim Palace.
Next year’s Nocturne will run across five nights from Wednesday, 15 June to Sunday, 19 June 19, 2022. Support acts for next summer’s event include the likes of Macy Gray, Deacon Blue, Brand New Heavies, Nerina Pallot, Jimmy Cliff, Aswad and James Morrison. You can see full details below.
Fronted by Mick Hucknall, the multi-Brit Award-winning group whose 1991 album Stars was the best-selling album for two years running in Britain and Europe, and who topped the US charts twice with their massive hits “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” and “Holding Back The Years”, will descend on the Palace’s 10,000-capacity Great Court, with support from Brand New Heavies, on Wednesday June 15 2022.
Nocturne Live Founder Ciro Romano: “We’re overjoyed to have added Simply Red to the line-up for next summer’s Nocturne Live. It’s going to be a wonderful feeling having everyone finally back together at Blenheim Palace enjoying five nights of incredible music against the beautiful backdrop of The Great Court.”
Tickets from Simply Red start at £36 and go on sale at 9am on 22 October. Tickets, along with a limited number of VIP packages – which provide an exclusive opportunity to dine in the State Rooms of Blenheim Palace – are available from Nocturne’s official website.
