Live Nation To Introduce TSA Style Pre-Checks At Concerts

Sick of waiting in long lines to get into shows and festivals??

That could all be a thing of the past!

How So? Live Nation plans on adding TSA-style pre-checks to their concerts and music festivals!

This will apparently happen the same way they do it on airplanes, Hypebot points out. While people without the pre-check won’t have to necessarily take their shoes off, people with it will get to enter much quicker!

Live Nation apparently has partnered up with IdentoGo, the same company that does the security pre-checks on airplanes, and it would work the same way. People who are a member would get to pass the long lines by wearing a fast pass wristband!

How do you become a member? The exact same way you sign up to be pre-checked on planes! In fact, if you’re already signed up for the plane program, you’re already signed up for the one at concerts and fests!

In case you’re unaware of how all that works, it’s a pretty easy process. Here’s the process (via ConsequenceOfSound.Net)

“The application process takes about 10 minutes and costs $85; all you need to do is provide valid government-issued ID and/or proof of US citizenship at a designated enrollment location, undergo a quick screening process, and you’re set for five years. Live Nation will even help you avoid the long waits at enrollment centers by providing sign up stations at certain venues and events.

Once you’re a member, you’ll provide your nine-digit Known Traveler Number and a photo ID at the Fast Pass gate, and walk right into the concert.”

This has already been used at a few festivals and will be tried out at many more through the end of the year! If successful (which I certainly hope it is), it will be utilized at every Live Nation venue in the country!

This is a great idea! Not only does it keep us safer, but it allows us to get into shows much much faster!
