Lynyrd Skynyrd, Brad Paisley To Co-Headline 2021 Concert for Legends

Lynyrd Skynyrd and Brad Paisley will co-headline the 2021 Concert for Legends, which is the culmination of the 2021 Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week. The concert is set for August 9 at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame stadium in Canton, Ohio.

George Veras, chief operating officer and executive producer at the Football Hall of Fame said: “We are excited for not one, but two music icons honoring and performing in the 2021 Concert of Legends Presented by Ford.

“They join Aerosmith, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith, Kid Rock, Maroon 5, and Imagine Dragons as the great artists who have brought their talents to center stage at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, which is quickly becoming a ‘must’ tour stop and fan-favorite music venue.”

Tickets for 2021 Concert for Legends go on sale on Friday (May 7) at 10 am EDT via the official Football Hall of Fame website. The Football Hall of Fame class of 2021 includes quarterback Peyton Manning, guard Alan Faneca, coach Tom Flores, wide receiver Calvin Johnson, safety John Lynch, contributor Bill Nunn, wide receiver Drew Pearson, and cornerback/safety Charles Woodson.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd line-up will feature co-founding guitarist Gary Rossington, who was part of the band from their very earliest incarnation as My Backyard in 1964. He’s joined by vocalist Johnny Van Zant, brother of late Skynyrd co-founder Ronnie Van Zant; Rickey Medlocke, Mark ‘Sparky’ Matejka, Michael Cartellone, Keith Christopher, Peter Keys, Dale Krantz Rossington, and Carol Chase.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will also headline two nights at “the world’s largest honky tonk,” Billy Bob’s Texas, on June 18 and 19. Additionally, Eric Church pays tribute to the southern rock giants on the track “Lynyrd Skynyrd Jones,” which he released as an individual track in February and which now appears on the Soul album of his Heart & Soul trilogy.
