Machine Gun Kelly ran into some heat during his set at the Louder Than Life festival over the weekend where he was booed heavily.
The festival boasted a heavy hard rock/metal bill where Metallica headlined two nights of the four-day event, so there’s a good chance a number of Slipknot fans were in the crowd, too. As previously reported, MGK took some shots at Slipknot during his set at Riot Fest in Chicago earlier this month calling them “old weird dudes with masks” among other things.
In the video below, you can see a number of fans openly flipping off the stage, and once MGK finishes his song, they erupted into boos. (The moment begins around the 3:05 mark, and the video’s description on YouTube simply reads, “ya… people really don’t like this guy. Slipknot FTW.”)
On top of this, video also surfaced of MGK taking a swing at a fan after they were restrained by security due to them pushing the rapper-turned-rocker.
Kelly, meanwhile, retweeted a fan who said the crowd wasn’t booing and added, “I don’t know why the media lies in their narrative against me all the time but all I saw was 20,000 amazing fans at the festival singing every word and 20 angry ones.”
