Megadeth is set to preview their final album with a special worldwide cinema event. “Megadeth: Behind the Mask” will hit theaters on January 22. The event will feature an in-depth interview with frontman Dave Mustaine, along with a playback and track-by-track breakdown of the new album.
“This listening event is going to be amazing,” Mustaine said. “I can’t wait to share it with thousands of my closest friends around the world. I have so much gratitude for everyone who helped bring this film to life, especially you, the fans! Now let’s fire this up… and pass the popcorn!”
Tickets for “Megadeth: Behind the Mask” will go on sale on December 11 at 9 a.m. ET. The self-titled final album from Megadeth will also be released on January 22.
In addition to the film and album, Megadeth is planning a multiyear farewell tour. They will kick off the tour in August with North American dates alongside Iron Maiden. Fans can look forward to an exciting time as the band wraps up their incredible journey in music.
