On Tuesday, three metal stars shared matching black-and-white photos on their social media. The images featured Amy Lee from Evanescence, Courtney LaPlante from Spiritbox, and alt-metal artist Poppy, all dressed in dark outfits. Both Sumerian Records and Pale Chord record labels posted the photo, and former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish added it to his Instagram Story.
Fish produced Poppy’s album, Negative Spaces, last fall. He mentioned, “Poppy wanted to do big rock songs, which I can do, I guess. In my mind, she hadn’t really put together a body of work that felt super coherent, so that was the challenge.” Recently, Fish finished working with Amy Lee and Halsey on a song called “Hand That Feeds” for the upcoming John Wick spin-off, Ballerina. Since leaving Bring Me The Horizon in 2023, Fish has focused on studio work.
At this year’s Grammys, a funny moment happened when a reporter mistook LaPlante for Poppy on the red carpet. LaPlante played along, saying, “I am Poppy, and I am really happy to be here, nominated with Knocked Loose. I really hope we win.” Mike Stringer from Spiritbox also shared his thoughts on working with Fish, saying, “We were really embarrassed because Jordan’s so cool and nice that you forget he’s a famous person.”
Details about the release date and title of this new project are still under wraps. Fans are excited to see what these talented artists will bring next!
