Nikki Sixx on the Mötley Crüe Tour That Would ‘Destroy the World’

Nikki Sixx occasionally opens up his Twitter (or X account or whatever Elon Musk is calling the platform) to fan questions. The latest installment of #AskSixx led to an interesting exchange.

When asked by a fan who he’d want Mötley Crüe to tour with next, Sixx replied, “I think us and Guns [N’ Roses] would destroy the world.”

Understandably, many fans in the replies were all for a potential Crüe/GN’R tour. One fan even proclaimed, “I would sell my kidney to see that concert.”

Also, and let’s face facts here: That tour would make bank! Billboard reported in 2022 that Guns N’ Roses and The Stadium Tour — which featured Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts — were the 17th and 8th highest-grossing tours that year. GN’R’s tour made $93.3 million, while The Stadium Tour made $173.4 million. With a double bill featuring those two bands, they’d fill most stadiums around the world every night.

Of course, it seems highly unlikely such a tour would happen. Then again, many also thought Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan getting back together would never happen either. At this point, anything seems possible these days, especially if the price is right.
