Pantera — or at least a reunited Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown — will be embarking on a tour in 2023.
Per Billboard, the singer and bassist have recently signed with Artist Group International, who will be booking various North American tour dates. The outlet notes agents Dennis Arfa and Peter Pappalardo will be helming the booking process, with Pappalardo saying in a brief statement, “We are thrilled to be working with such an iconic band and bringing their music back to the fans.”
The most eyebrow-raising part of this news is the fact it’s currently unknown who will be on guitar and drums in place of the late “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott and Vinnie Paul Abbott, the two brothers that co-founded Pantera. “Dimebag” Darrell was tragically murdered at age 38 during a Damageplan performance in Columbus, Ohio in 2004, while Vinnie Paul died in 2018 at age 54 due to complications from heart disease.
