Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a 2023 tour of Australia and New Zealand with Post Malone as their special guest.
The Los Angeles band, known for their hits including “Under the Bridge”, “Knock Me Down”, “Give It Away” and “Californication”, will perform in major stadiums from January to February 2023. The tour will include performances in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Auckland and Dunedin.
The Peppers’ Melbourne born bassist, Flea, hinted earlier this year they would soon be touring Australia.
He told The Daily Telegraph at the time: “We’re definitely coming. We’re all booked up until the end of this year, so I don’t think we could get there this year.”
It has been four years since Post Malone last performed in Australia, and Red Hot Chili Peppers last toured Down Under in 2019. Flea, who owns a property in New South Wales, last visited for a holiday in December 2021.
Elsewhere in Post Malone news, the Texan star recently announced five additional dates to his ‘Twelve Carat Tour’, an extensive 38-show outing across North America with special guest Roddy Ricch.
Post added additional shows in Toronto, Boston, New York and Los Angeles. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on September 10 at CHI Health Center in Omaha, NE making stops in Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Dallas, Atlanta, Vancouver and more before wrapping up in Los Angeles, CA at Crypto.com Arena on November 16.
