More than 20,000 rock and metal fans united for a day full of music, food, and unforgettable experiences at the third annual Monster Energy Rock Allegiance on Saturday, October 7 , held at the festival’s new location at BB&T Pavilion and Wiggins Waterfront Park in Camden, NJ.
Attendees of the Northeast’s biggest rock experience enjoyed sets from Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch (featuring a surprise appearance from In This Moment’s Maria Brink on “The Bleeding”), Pennsylvania’s own Halestorm, Mastodon, Gojira, and more.
Other highlights of the day included the hometown record release show for August Burns Red and buzzworthy sets from up-and-comers Joyous Wolf and Greta Van Fleet, among nearly 20 total bands across three stages.
In addition to music, attendees were able to get an authentic taste of Philly cuisine with offerings from a number of area food trucks including Baby Blues BBQ, Boardwalk Specialties, Champ’s Steaks, Cheese It Up, Chewy’s, Chickies & Pete’s, Frozen Delights Ice Cream Truck, Guy Fieri’s Burger Joint, Lil Trent’s Treats, My Four Suns, Nico’s Pizza and More!, PB & J’s Lunch Box, P.J. Whelihan’s, and Sum Pig.
Monster Energy Rock Allegiance also gave festivalgoers a taste of local breweries and national specialty drafts with a lineup including 21stAmendment (San Francisco, CA), Dogfish Head (Milton, DE), Founders(Grand Rapids, MI), Neshaminy Creek (Croydon, PA), Oskar Blues(Longmont, CO), Spellbound Brewing (Mount Holly, NJ), Tröegs Independent Brewing (Hershey, PA), Unibroue (Chambly, QC), and Victory Brewing Company (Downington, PA).
