In 2024, Faith No More keyboardist Roddy Bottum shared that the band is on a “permanent hiatus.” He doesn’t see a reunion happening anytime soon. In a recent interview, Bottum said, “I don’t think anyone’s sort of up for it at this point.”
The band had planned several shows in 2021, but those were canceled for various reasons, including frontman Mike Patton’s mental health struggles. Patton has since been open about his battle with agoraphobia. While he has returned to performing with his other band, Mr. Bungle, Faith No More remains inactive.
Bottum mentioned, “I don’t think anyone’s upset about it or anything.” He acknowledged that reuniting could bring in a big paycheck, but the band members are content with what they accomplished together. “I think we did a really good job,” he said, referring to their reunion tours.
He added, “We’re all pretty good with the decisions we’ve made so far, and I don’t see what more could come from getting back together.” For now, it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer for any Faith No More action.
