Stevie Nicks: Hear Her Cover of Buffalo Springfield’s ‘For What It’s Worth’

Stevie Nicks has released “For What It’s Worth,” a cover of the classic protest song by Buffalo Springfield.

Earlier this week, Nicks teased the release of the cover in a post to her social media channels.

“I am so excited to release my new song this Friday. It’s called ‘For What It’s Worth’ and it was written by Stephen Stills in 1966,” wrote Nicks. “It meant something to me then, and it means something to me now.”

She added, “I always wanted to interpret it through the eyes of a woman, and it seems like today, in the times that we live in, that it has a lot to say. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”

Stephen Stills responded to the cover sharing on Twitter, “Thank you Stevie. The rest of you, go listen! Tell me what you think.”

Nicks’ cover of “For What It’s Worth” can be heard in the YouTube video above and is available for streaming/download here.
