The Cranberries have announced the first standalone release of their MTV Unplugged live performance. This set will be available on vinyl, CD, and digital platforms starting November 7. Previously, it was only part of a limited-edition vinyl reissue of their 1994 album, No Need to Argue, released in June.
Drummer Fergal Lawler shared his excitement, saying, “We were blown away to be following in the footsteps of big names like R.E.M., Pearl Jam, The Cure, and Nirvana.” He described the MTV recording experience as relaxed, with the audience sitting on the floor in a beautiful old theater.
The track list features stripped-down versions of popular songs like “Zombie” and “Linger.”
The Cranberries released their final album, In the End, in 2019, following the passing of frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan in 2018. Fans can look forward to enjoying this special live performance soon!
