The Lumineers Share Rousing New Single ‘A.M. RADIO’

The Lumineers has shared “A.M. RADIO”, the third track to be taken from its eagerly awaited fourth album, BRIGHTSIDE.

““A.M. Radio” features the biggest chorus we’ve ever recorded, while colliding with an intimate verse,” singer, guitarist and co-founder Wesley Schultz said in a press statement. “The song is an anthem about the supernatural pull of one’s calling in life – for Jeremiah and me, it was songs.”

Long as you run/I couldn’t give you up,” Schultz sings on the chorus, over tinkling piano melodies and an anthemic guitar hook.

“A.M. RADIO” follows previous singles “BRIGHTSIDE” and “BIG SHOT”, the former of which is currently No.1 on the Billboard AAA Radio Chart. Its chart-topping activities mean that The Lumineers is now the act with the most No.1s on that chart in the last nine years.

BRIGHTSIDE was produced by the band’s longtime collaborator Simone Felice and David Baron at Sun Mountain Studios in Boiceville, New York. The record features appearances by both Felice and Baron, touring members Byron Isaacs and Lauren Jacobson, backing singer Cindy Mizelle – who has previously worked with Bruce Springsteen and Dave Matthews Band – The Felice Brothers’ James Felice and singer-songwriter Diana DeMuth.

The album is The Lumineers’ first in two years and contains the band’s most joyous and spontaneous work thus far in its acclaimed career.

In May, the group released a new live EP, Live From The Last Night Of Tour, which captured some of its show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 11, 2020. The record featured four tracks from the gig, including “Gloria,” “Donna,” “My Cell” and “Ophelia.”

The gig was meant to be one of many dates across North America in 2020 but proved to be one of only a handful after the COVID-19 pandemic forced live music across the world to come to a halt.

The Lumineers’ BRIGHTSIDE will be released on January 14 and is available for pre-order.
