The Wanted Shares Performance Of ‘Glad You Came’ At Royal Albert Hall

Live footage of UK pop veterans The Wanted performing their 2012 hit single “Glad You Came” at the Royal Albert Hall in London last month has been shared online.

The group held their first performance together in seven years at the iconic venue on September 20, 2021 as part of member Tom Parker’s Stand Up To Cancer charity show, Inside My Head. Parker was diagnosed with a brain tumor last year and has been undergoing treatment since.

The rendition of the song began with the crowd singing the chorus a cappella, before singer Max George told them: “Give it up for Tom!”

Inside My Head: The Concert also featured performances from the likes of Liam Payne, Ed Sheeran, McFly, Becky Hill, Sigrid, and KSI. All proceeds went to Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal, two UK charities helping people in the fight against cancer and aiming to progress research in neurological science respectively.

The concert was also livestreamed worldwide the day after it was held at the Royal Albert Hall, with fans across the globe able to donate as they watched.

Inside My Head is also the name of a moving documentary that aired on Channel 4 earlier this month and was produced with Stand Up To Cancer. It followed Parker and his family as they came to terms with his brain tumor diagnosis.

Last week (October 13), The Wanted released their first new single in seven years with “Rule The World.” It will feature on their upcoming greatest hits album Most Wanted – The Greatest Hits, which will be released on November 12.

The album is a collection of all the band’s huge worldwide hits, including the No.1 singles “All Time Low” and “Glad You Came”, the 2010 Comic Relief single “Gold Forever,” the theme song from the 2012 movie Ice Age: Continental Drift, “Chasing The Sun,” and the soaring ballad “Heart Vacancy.”

The Wanted’s Most Wanted: The Greatest Hits is out on November 12 and available for pre-order.
