Timbaland’s *Shock Value* is set to be the latest release from the Interscope Vinyl Collective. This marks the first vinyl pressing of the album since its debut in 2007. The special edition features alternate cover art in a “purple color shift” and includes five bonus tracks, such as Steve Aoki’s “Club Banger” and an extended instrumental version of “The Way I Are.” Only 3,000 copies will be available worldwide, and each record is individually numbered. Plus, it comes with a Timbaland lithograph.
*Shock Value* is Timbaland’s second solo album, blending R&B, rap, and pop. It features collaborations with artists like Fall Out Boy, the Hives, She Wants Revenge, and Elton John. Missy Elliott, Dr. Dre, and 50 Cent also join him on some club hits. The platinum-certified album peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and includes chart-topping singles like “Give It To Me” with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, and “Apologize” with OneRepublic. “Give It To Me” even has a line aimed at producer Scott Storch: “I’m a real producer and you[‘re] just the piano man.”
“The Way I Are,” featuring Keri Hilson and D.O.E., recently joined the Spotify Billions Club, with over one billion streams. Upon its release, it reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Timbaland co-wrote the song with Hilson, The Clutch, Candice Nelson, and Danja, who also co-produced it. This track contributed to Timbaland’s nomination for Producer of the Year at the 2008 Grammys. Don’t miss out on this limited edition vinyl!
