The legendary experimental supergroup, Mr. Bungle, graced Philadelphia with their presence at The Fillmore, and boy, did they deliver! This avant-garde rock extravaganza had fans on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
Before we dive into the madness unleashed by Mr. Bungle, let’s give some credit where it’s due. The night kicked off with a bang as the experimental New York rock duo, Battles, took the stage. The guitarist/keyboardist Ian Williams and drummer John Stanier wasted no time in revving up the crowd and setting the tone for an unforgettable night of music.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the sheer musical genius that comprises Mr. Bungle. With members like Mike Patton (Faith No More), Scott Ian (Anthrax), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Trevor Dunn, and Trey Spruance, this lineup is an absolute powerhouse. After few heavy and trash metal songs it was a big surprise(or maybe not) when the guys slowed down with I’m Not In Love(10cc Cover).Then brought the pace up again.
The audience erupted into a frenzy as iconic tunes were unleashed upon us. We were transported back in time while simultaneously being thrust into the future. It was a surreal experience that left us yearning for more.
As the night came to a close, it was evident that we had just witnessed something truly special. Mr. Bungle, with their avant-garde sound and unparalleled talent, had taken us on a wild musical ride. The range of emotions experienced throughout the concert was nothing short of extraordinary.
