Vince Neil: Artists & Fans Come to Singer’s Defense for Teleprompter Use

Vince Neil was the subject of some ridicule online after fan-shot footage from Motley Crue’s set in St. Louis on the Stadium Tour showed the singer using a teleprompter while singing. However, many artists and fans have come to Neil’s defense for using a teleprompter, which is a common practice. (If you want proof, just Google “singers that use teleprompters.”)

Among the artists who showed their support for Neil included Disturbed frontman David Draiman. He took to Twitter and said, in part, “Most artists with extensive catalogs [use teleprompters.] Leave the guy alone FFS.” Shinedown guitarist Zach Myers quipped about the Neil teleprompter headlines, “Slow news day?”
