Watch Jack White Perform the National Anthem at the Detroit Tigers’ Opening Day

Jack White and Detroit are pretty much synonymous, even if he makes his home in Nashville these days. But he’s always been a Tiger fan. So, it makes perfect sense that the Detroit Tigers tapped the famed garage-rock musician to perform the National Anthem for the Tigers’ Opening Day festivities.

White’s performance of the song is very typical of him. He puts his own alternative-rock spin on it, doing things completely and utterly unique, as always. He even says, via WXYZ, that this is his first time ever performing the National Anthem. Watch the performance below.

Jack White’s new solo album, Fear Of The Dawn, is out today (April 8).
