Watch – Korn ‘Insane’ Video Premiere

Korn are inching closer to the Oct. 21 street date for their new album The Serenity of Suffering. With the disc fast approaching, Korn are ready to roll out some more new music from the album, and they’ve teamed up with Loudwire to exclusively bring you the premiere of the video for the song “Insane.”

As you can see in the player above, Korn have indulged their macabre side with the assistance of director Ryan Valdez, delivering a ghastly take on post-mortem photography (or momento mori), the practice of preserving loved ones after death with images.

As for the track, it’s straight-up Korn heavy, with some brutal Jonathan Davis belting and a bouncing beat bolstered by by a crushing wall of guitars and bass. The song feels like a perfect fit within the band’s catalog, reminiscent of some of their earlier works.

“Insane” follows on the heels of the current Korn hit “Rotting in Vain,” which itself had a rather dark video. Both songs appear on The Serenity of Suffering album, which was produced by Nick Raskulinecz and is currently on schedule for an Oct. 21 release. You can pre-order the album via Amazon or iTunes.
And be sure to keep an eye out for Korn on tour. The band is currently in the midst of a tour with Rob Zombie, but they also have the co-headlining “Nocturnal Underground” tour with Breaking Benjamin on the horizon, as well as a number of festival dates. See all of their scheduled shows below.
