Watch The Weeknd Perform ‘Starboy’ Medley on ‘Fallon’

The Weeknd celebrated the release of his Starboy, out today, by appearing on Thursday’s Tonight Show to perform a medley of new LP tracks, “I Feel It Coming” and “Starboy.”

Both the ballad “I Feel It Coming” and “Starboy” were the result of the Weeknd’s collaboration with Daft Punk.

“Their studio is like a spaceship; there’s a lot of gear,” the Weeknd previously said of working with Daft Punk. “But the way they make music, the way they explain it, is very cinematic. It’s like they’re reading a page out of a novel – ‘We want to make sure that at the end, it feels like the sun’s coming up, and maybe there’s a car chase.’ They can get technical, but it was interesting how they visualize making music.”

Starboy also features guests like Kendrick Lamar, Future and Lana Del Rey, who shared their “Stargirl Interlude” on Instagram before the album arrived. Del Rey also provides vocals on the album’s “Party Monster.”

On Wednesday, the Weeknd premiered his bloody short film Mania, which featured the album’s “AlI I Know,” “Sidewalk,” “Secrets,” “Die for You,” “Party Monster” and “I Feel It Coming.”
The Weeknd will embark on the 25-date North American “phase one” leg of his Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour starting April 25th in Vancouver.
