Wolfgang Van Halen and his solo band Mammoth WVH made their TV debut last night (February 11) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and performed “Distance,” a tribute to his late father Eddie Van Halen.

The song serves as Mammoth WVH’s debut single and is featured on their self-titled debut album, which is due out June 11. In a statement on the single, Wolfgang said, “‘Distance’ is a song that was initially written for the debut album, but was going to be held for a later time. As my pop continued to struggle with various health issued I was imagining what my life would be like without him and how terribly I’d miss him.”

He added, “While this song is incredibly personal, I think anyone can relate to the idea of having a profound loss in their own life. I never anticipated ‘Distance’ would be the first song of mine that people would hear, but I also thought my father would be here to celebrate its release along with me. This is for him.”

Mammoth WVH is available for pre-sale/pre-save on major digital platforms here, while physical copies and merch are available at WolfgangVanHalen.Shop.MusicToday.com.
