Guitar virtuoso Nita Strauss and her husband Josh Villalta were among the intimate circle of 220 guests attending Alice and Sheryl Cooper’s 50th-anniversary celebration and wedding vow renewal this week. Strauss, who announced on New Year’s Day that she is expecting her first child, took to Instagram today to share photos from the event, prominently featuring her growing baby bump. Calling the Coopers "marriage goals," Strauss shared a heartfelt message about the couple's enduring love, noting how much of an inspiration they have been to her and Villalta both on and off the stage.

The "Hurricane" is expecting a baby boy this summer, a milestone she has described as a "long-awaited miracle." The celebratory photos show a glowing Strauss alongside Villalta, who is also the drummer in her solo band.

In a new interview with KLOS's Whiplash, Beartooth mastermind Caleb Shomo revealed that the band's seventh studio album is officially "done." The upcoming record marks Beartooth's first full-length release since signing with Fearless Records and follows the massive success of 2023’s The Surface. Shomo described the new material as a "true depiction" of himself, featuring a balance of heavy screaming, signature choruses, and pop-influenced elements that have become a hallmark of his evolving songwriting style.

Addressing mixed reactions to the band's latest single, "Free," Shomo stated that he is currently avoiding critical reception to focus on creating honest art that resonates with him personally. While the logistics for the album's rollout are still being finalized, the band is currently on a North American arena tour supporting Bad Omens. Shomo credited the team at Fearless for providing a supportive environment to create what he considers "simply the best Beartooth album" he could make.

Parkway Drive vocalist Winston McCall has released a video statement offering an emotional apology following news that a longtime band associate, Jed Gordon, pleaded guilty to a sex offense involving a minor. Gordon, a former member of the band's merch team and relative of drummer Ben Gordon, admitted to the charges in a recent court proceeding. While the band initially issued a formal statement terminating Gordon's contract and supporting the victim, McCall followed up with a personal video to address criticism that the first response felt "cold."

In the video, McCall expressed his complete support for the victim and condemned the actions "without hesitation." He took moral responsibility for having employed Gordon for years, acknowledging that while the band was "blindsided" by the extent of the behavior, they were aware he could be "bad with people" and offered no excuses for their past reactions. McCall concluded with a plea to the music community, specifically calling on men to hold their peers accountable and ensure that women are safe, heard, and respected within the scene.

A Los Angeles judge has granted Brittany Furlan a temporary restraining order against Falling in Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke, marking a significant escalation in their ongoing public feud. Furlan, who is married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, alleged in court documents that Radke has become "unhinged and obsessed" with her, engaging in a pattern of online harassment and bullying. The order requires Radke to stay at least 100 yards away from Furlan and her residence.

Another document states Radke is not allowed to mention Furlan online or encourage others to contact or harass her. If he fails to adhere to the conditions in the order, he can be arrested and charged with a crime that may result in jail time for up to one year, a $1,000 fine or both.

The dispute stems from a complex 2025 "catfishing" incident in which Furlan claimed she had been involved in a secret online relationship with someone she believed was Radke. While Radke has vehemently denied the claims—asserting Furlan was actually communicating with an impersonator—Furlan alleges he has since targeted her with "cruel" social media posts and "burner" accounts. Radke’s own request for a mutual restraining order was denied by the court, with the judge citing a lack of evidence of immediate danger.

In a new interview with Mexico’s Summa Inferno, Halestorm powerhouse Lzzy Hale opened up about the intense discipline required to maintain her signature vocal performance over nearly three decades. Hale revealed that her personal motto is to perform every show as if it were her last, refusing to "half-ass" any night on stage. She emphasized that this consistency requires immense trust in her body and a commitment to performing in the original keys they were recorded in.

Beyond the technical aspects of music, Hale spoke candidly about her evolution as a role model. She admitted that she once felt pressured to hide her struggles with anxiety and depression to maintain a "perfect" image, but eventually realized that authenticity resonates more with fans. By living unapologetically and sharing her low points, she hopes to show fans that she is human and attainable. This focus on vulnerability follows the release of Halestorm's sixth studio album, Everest, which arrived last August.

Julien's Auctions has announced that Ace Frehley’s legendary 1975 Gibson Les Paul will be a centerpiece of its upcoming "Music Icons" sale. The instrument, which served as Frehley's primary companion during the formative years of KISS, is estimated to sell for between $400,000 and $600,000. Used extensively on stage and in the studio, this guitar is considered one of the most historically significant pieces of rock memorabilia to hit the market in years.

The auction, scheduled for May 29-30 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square, will feature over 800 items, including instruments from Kirk Hammett, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Izzy Stradlin. Fans can view highlights from the collection during a traveling exhibition that will stop in London, Tokyo, and New York. Bidding officially opens on April 27, offering collectors a rare chance to own a piece of the "Spaceman's" legacy.

From Ashes To New has publicly pushed back against social media platform X after its automated systems tagged the promotional art for their upcoming album, Reflections, as being created with artificial intelligence. The band took to the platform to address the AI bot Grok, demanding the removal of the label and clarifying that the artwork was created by a human artist using Photoshop.

The gold-certified nu-metal group emphasized their loyalty to their designer, stating he has been producing "incredible art" for the band since long before AI tools became mainstream. "We paid an artist to create this art & stand by him," the band wrote, noting that utilizing Photoshop for detailed digital art should not be conflated with AI generation.

Reflections is currently scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.
