Ronnie James Dio passed away on May 16, 2010. Besides gifting metalheads the iconic devil horn gesture, he left behind a catalog of music that would influence hard rock and metal for decades.

In honor of his life, we look back on one album in particular, as well as other ’80s metal albums we think everyone should own.
