The Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City was pulsating with anticipation as fans gathered for a night of unparalleled musical excellence at the “Sessanta” concert, featuring three iconic bands: A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer. With a lineup boasting such diverse musical styles and devoted fan bases, expectations were sky-high, and the event did not disappoint.

Starting off a night of “mini-sets” was A Perfect Circle, the acclaimed supergroup featuring Tool front man Maynard James Keenan, guitarist Billy Howerdel and Josh Freese on drums. From the moment they took the stage, A Perfect Circle commanded attention with their atmospheric soundscapes and haunting melodies. Drawing from their extensive catalog of hits, the band delivered set that were equal parts introspective and electrifying. Tracks like “Judith” and “The Outsider” resonated with the audience, eliciting sing-alongs and impassioned cheers. Following APC’s 3 songs, Primus took the stage with their signature blend of funk-infused rock and virtuosic musicianship. Led by the incomparable Les Claypool on bass, Primus launched into a high-energy 4 song set that had the crowd on their feet from start to finish. Highlights of the set included fan favorites like “Jerry Was a Race Car Driver” and “My Name Is Mud,” which showcased Claypool’s unparalleled bass skills and the band’s off-kilter charm. With their unique blend of humor and musical dexterity, Primus left an indelible mark on the audience, cementing their status as one of the most innovative bands in rock history.

Coming in 3rd as far as “mini-sets” are concerned, Puscifer, the brainchild of  Maynard James Keenan and Carina Round. Puscifer’s performance was a spellbinding journey through experimental rock, electronic beats, and theatricality. Keenan and Round’s unmistakable voices filled the venue with haunting melodies, while the band’s intricate instrumentation created an otherworldly atmosphere. Tracks like “The Remedy” and “Grand Canyon” showcased Puscifer’s ability to seamlessly blend genres, leaving the audience in awe of their musical prowess.
