How the Eagles Autism Foundation Supports Autism Research

There is hope for individuals and families who are caring for loved ones with autism. The Philadelphia Eagles Autism Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for autism research and care programs.

Each year, the Foundation hosts its signature fundraising event, the Eagles Autism Challenge. One hundred percent of all funds raised benefit the autism research and care community. Over the past seven years, the Foundation has raised more than $30 million for autism research.

This year’s Eagles Autism Challenge is set for Saturday, May 17, at Lincoln Financial Field. The event includes several athletic competitions, such as a 5K run and walk, bike race, sensory walk, and an opportunity to participate in activities virtually.

For more information or to register to attendvisit the Eagles Autism Challenge website.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 98 is one of many organizations that has partnered with the Foundation to raise critical funds. According to a PhillyVoice article, Local 98’s members have contributed more than $75,000 to the Foundation’s work during the last several years of fundraising.

As noted on its website, the Eagles Autism Foundation provides the necessary financial resources to doctors and scientists at leading institutions conducting autism research. The Foundation is championed by Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie.
