On Wednesday, May 14, the Philadelphia Flyers announced they have partnered with Athlon, the firm associated with the Rallee app, to develop and debut a customized “Flyers World” experience to promote movement-based learning for kids.
Rallee is a popular “move-to-learn” app that delivers personalized “brain breaks” to reinvigorate students’ minds and bodies to promote enhanced behavior, focus, and wellness.
The team is now inviting schools in the Philadelphia area to apply for an opportunity to participate in this initiative. The team will use the app to bring a custom virtual world to life for elementary school students in grades kindergarten through six. Through the experience, students will be able to take part in active learning while discovering the game of hockey through branded features.
Schools can apply now to participate by visiting NHL.com/Flyers/Rallee.
“We’re incredibly proud to team up with Athlon to bring a Flyers world to Rallee, supporting Athlon’s important mission to promote overall student well-being,” said Blair Listino, chief financial and administrative officer for Comcast Spectacor and Flyers alternate governor, in a Flyers news release. “Our shared goal is to create meaningful experiences that combine movement, education, and fun. This initiative is all about empowering kids to thrive physically, mentally, and socially, all while deepening their connection to the Flyers in an effort to continue to grow the game of hockey.”
According to the release, the team is expected to fully financially support the program throughout the 2025-2026 school year for the first 10,000 students enrolled through its partnership with the NHL and NHLPA Industry Growth Fund.
The experience will carry Single Sign-On access through ClassLink and Clever, and it will remain compatible with Chromebooks and iPads. This service will also be free to families for students to access at home.
