Philly VegFest Returns to Share Plant-Based Mission

The fifth annual Philly VegFest is returning to Philadelphia, uniting thousands of Philadelphians interested in exploring vegan and whole-food, plant-based foods.

The South Street Headhouse District is hosting this free, family-friendly festival on Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Bainbridge Green. This year’s Philly VegFest will offer plenty of food, speakers, live music, and dozens of vegan vendors.

According to a Metro Philadelphia report, attendees will be able to enjoy plant-based comfort food such as pizza, soul food, vegan sushi rolls, ice cream, and pastries. Guests can also browse the selection of eco-conscious gifts and cruelty-free products that include essential-oil-infused body formulas, vegan art, and handmade jewelry.

Speakers at this year’s Philly VegFest include plant-based physician Dr. Milton Mills, who will deliver a keynote address that discusses the significance of being proactive in one’s health by harnessing the potential of plant-based foods.

Philadelphia restaurateur Nicole Marquis will present a keynote address that includes sharing the details of her personal and professional vegan journey. One panel presentation will highlight the successes of entrepreneurial BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) women who have grown their experience in the vegan business world.

Musical entertainment for this year’s VegFest will include bands such as new age hip-hop soul performers Kuf Knotz and Christine Elise, The Verdict (reggae), the indie rock band The Missing Frets, a staight-ahead jazz band called the Leon Jordan Sr. Quartet, and an independent jam band, The Reality Check Experiment.

“Philly VegFest isn’t just a festival — it’s a movement,” said Richard Weston Rogers Jr., director of Philly VegFest, in a statement shared with Metro Philadelphia. “We’re excited to highlight the powerful impact of a plant-based lifestyle, not just on personal health, but on our communities, the environment, and the animals. Whether you’re vegan, veg-curious, or just love good food, there’s something here for everyone.”
