The Weeknd has just made his mark with his 28th song in Spotify’s Billions Club, thanks to “Timeless.” This track features Playboi Carti and is part of his upcoming 2025 album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. In the intro, The Weeknd sets a positive tone, singing: “Sun is shining, it’s over/ It’s tomorrow/ Bathe yourself in the light, in your love/ XO.”
“Timeless” has been a commercial success, reaching No. 3 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 8 on the Billboard Global 200. It also cracked the top ten in 15 countries. A remix featuring rap star Doechii was released in May.
This latest hit follows The Weeknd’s earlier entries in January 2025, including “In Your Eyes” from 2020’s After Hours and “Low Life” with Future from 2016. In November 2024, he became the first artist to have 21 songs with over a billion streams on Spotify, and that number has grown since then. He celebrated this achievement with a special 45-minute concert in Los Angeles, marking the first concert film-streaming experience on Spotify.
The Weeknd also holds the record for the most shows by a male artist at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, with seven sold-out performances during his After Hours Til Dawn 2025 Tour. To honor his impact, the City of Inglewood declared June 25–29 as “The Weeknd Week,” celebrating over 200,000 fans who attended his shows. A plaque was presented to him for this milestone.
