Eric Kretz, the drummer for Stone Temple Pilots, will not be joining The Joe Perry Project on their upcoming tour. Joe Perry, the guitarist from Aerosmith, announced on Instagram that Kretz is facing a family emergency and cannot participate in the tour dates. Perry mentioned that Kretz hopes to rejoin the tour as soon as he can.
The Joe Perry Project tour kicks off on Wednesday in Tampa, Florida, and will wrap up on August 23 in Port Chester, New York. The live lineup for the tour also features STP bassist Robert DeLeo, Chris Robinson from The Black Crowes, and Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford.
Meanwhile, Stone Temple Pilots have their own tour scheduled to start on August 29. Fans are looking forward to seeing both bands in action, even as Kretz takes time off to handle his family matters. Stay tuned for updates on his return!
