Iconic Metal Bands Collaborate on Tribute Album for Metallica’s ‘Kill ‘Em All’

Metallica fans have something to look forward to! A new tribute album called *No Life ‘Til Leather — A Tribute To Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All* will be released by Silver Lining Music on November 14. This album features ten bands, including Saxon, Motörhead, Testament, and Tygers Of Pan Tang, each putting their own spin on classic Metallica tracks.

The tribute kicks off with The Almighty, who cover “The Four Horsemen.” Guitarist Ricky Warwick shared that it was an easy decision to participate, as Metallica has greatly influenced their music. He mentioned it was a bit nerve-racking since they hadn’t been in the studio for a while, but they recorded everything in just a day and a half, bringing their signature power and passion.

This album marks the first studio work with The Almighty’s original lineup since 1991. The tribute blends veteran bands that helped shape Metallica’s early sound with fresh talent. Testament and former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson team up with rising stars Tailgunner and Swedish band Soen for this project.

Raven, who supported Metallica on their first tour in 1983, takes on “Metal Militia.” Brian Tatler from Diamond Head chose to cover “No Remorse,” a nod to Metallica’s past covers of his band’s songs.

These bands have strong connections to Metallica. Saxon played at Metallica’s 30th anniversary shows in 2011, while Motörhead won a GRAMMY in 2004 for their cover of “Whiplash.” Other tracks include Tailgunner’s “Hit The Lights,” Soen’s “Motorbreath,” Tygers of Pan Tang’s “Jump In The Fire,” Ellefson’s “(Anesthesia) — Pulling Teeth,” and Testament’s “Seek & Destroy.”

The album will be available on CD, vinyl, and digital formats. Get ready to rock!
