The Hives Commemorate 30 Years of Music with the Release of Their New Album Today

The Hives have just released their seventh album, “The Hives Forever Forever The Hives,” through Play It Again Sam Records. The band shared their excitement about the album, which showcases their energy and growth. Mike D from the Beastie Boys produced the album, while Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age added his unique touch. Their latest single, “Roll Out The Red Carpet,” follows the buzz from last year’s track, “The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons.”

The recording took place in Sweden and Mike D’s studio in Malibu, with producer Pelle Gunnerfeldt helping shape the sound. The Hives kicked off a massive world tour on August 29 in England, performing at various venues across Europe and the U.S. They will wrap up the European leg with a big homecoming show at Stockholm’s Avicii Arena on December 6. Next year, they’ll head to South America, starting in Bogotá on January 22, 2026, where they will open for My Chemical Romance. They’ll also perform in Peru, Chile, and Argentina, finishing the tour with two nights in Mexico City in February.

On stage, fans can expect to see Howlin’ Pelle on vocals, Chris Dangerous on drums, The Johan and Only on bass, and Nicholaus Arson and Vigilante Carlstroem on guitars. The Hives have shared the stage with legends like AC/DC and The Rolling Stones and have sold millions of albums worldwide. Recently, they rocked out with Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys. Their biggest show to date was a wild night at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes on October 8, 2024. Tickets for their shows in Vancouver, Seattle, and Sacramento sold out quickly, but fans can still grab tickets for many other stops on this exciting tour.
