Dream Theater Unveils 2026 Worldwide Tour: First Concerts in India Since 2017 and Upcoming Album ‘Parasomnia’

Dream Theater is set to return to India next January, marking their first shows in the country since 2017. The concerts in Bengaluru and Kolkata are part of their worldwide 40th anniversary tour.

The band expressed their excitement, saying, “We can’t wait to return to India, Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, and Japan as part of our 40th Anniversary Tour in 2026.” Fans can expect to see the classic lineup: John Petrucci on guitar, John Myung on bass, Mike Portnoy on drums, James LaBrie on vocals, and Jordan Rudess on keyboards.

The setlist will feature fresh tracks from their upcoming album, *Parasomnia*, which is their 16th studio album set to release in February 2025. This album marks Mike Portnoy’s return to the band for the first time since *Black Clouds & Silver Linings* in 2009. He rejoined the group in October 2023 after a 13-year hiatus. Portnoy shared, “Everything we’ve been writing sounds like every classic Dream Theater song or album. The style is here. The chemistry is the same. It all just feels and sounds so familiar.”

The anniversary tour kicks off on September 5, 2025, in Reading, Pennsylvania. After 30 shows across North America, the band will head to India, Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, and Japan, wrapping up in March 2026.

Fans can look forward to ticket sales and streaming options for *Parasomnia*, with prices to be announced soon. The last time Dream Theater performed in India was in Mumbai in 2017 during the *Images and Words* 25th anniversary celebrations. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!
