Love was in the air on Sunday as Slayer bassist Tom Araya renewed his wedding vows with his wife, Sandra. The special moment was made even more memorable with the help of his bandmate, guitarist Gary Holt, who officiated the ceremony. Holt shared a photo on Instagram, proudly wearing a priest’s collar, and wrote, “I had the great honor of renewing the vows for my dear friends Tom and Sandra Araya! (Yes, I am ordained!) What a great day in Texas!”
Tom and Sandra Araya tied the knot on September 6, 1995, marking their 30th anniversary this year. The couple has two children and resides in Texas.
In music news, Slayer recently performed at Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning concert. Their next show is on September 18 at the Louder Than Life Festival. Fans can also look forward to their first North American headlining concert in six years on September 20 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania. They will be joined by Suicidal Tendencies and Holt’s other band, Exodus.
