The long-awaited Oasis reunion tour kicked off in the U.K. in July, and the band’s streaming numbers jumped by 71%. When the Gallagher brothers brought the tour to the U.S., the numbers soared even higher. After shows in Chicago and New Jersey, Oasis hit a peak of 15 million streams. Before the tour, from January to late June, they were averaging just 6 million on-demand audio streams per week.
The tour wrapped up on September 7 with a memorable show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. As Liam Gallagher introduced the final song, he thanked the crowd, saying, “Nice one for having us, America. This tour’s been the f bollocks, man. I wanna thank you, man. All of us. For sticking with us over the years.” He added, “We must be a f nightmare to support and follow and we appreciate it – getting to play these beautiful stadiums in front of you beautiful people … look after yourselves. Take care.”
Oasis also shared some great photos from the Rose Bowl shows on social media, captioning the post, “LA… YOU LOOK GREAT ON 35MM.” Fans are buzzing about the tour and the band’s incredible return to the stage.
