Phantogram’s Sarah Barthel joined Deftones on September 7 at Quebec City’s Centre Vidéotron to perform “Cherry Waves.” This special guest appearance marked the last night of Phantogram opening for Deftones on their current tour. The band chose “Cherry Waves” from Deftones’ 2006 album, Saturday Night Wrist. While it was never released as a single, the song gained popularity on TikTok, reaching a new audience.
As the tour moves forward, British punk band IDLES will take over as the main support act. The Barbarians of California will kick off each show. Upcoming stops include Baltimore, St. Louis, Denver, and Kansas City.
Deftones will also be part of several major festivals this fall. They are set to perform at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival on September 19, followed by Louisville’s Louder Than Life on September 20. In early October, they will hit the stage at Sacramento’s Aftershock festival.
The tour will wrap up with two big shows. Dia de los Deftones will take place in San Diego on November 1, and the final concert will be at Mexico City’s Corona Capital on November 16.
Fans can check out all the upcoming tour dates on Deftones’ official website. Don’t miss your chance to catch them live!
