Cameron Crowe, the Oscar-winning writer and director known for classics like “Almost Famous,” “Jerry Maguire,” and “Say Anything,” is hitting the road this fall with his long-awaited memoir, “The Uncool.” The book releases on October 28 through Simon & Schuster, and to celebrate, Crowe will embark on a special 7-city book tour.
The tour kicks off on October 29 in Washington, DC, and will make stops in Nashville, Chicago, San Diego, Seattle, Los Angeles, and wrap up in San Francisco on November 23. Each event promises an intimate evening filled with storytelling, behind-the-scenes tales, and the music that has influenced Crowe’s life. He’ll be joined by special guests at each stop, including Jake Tapper in D.C., Sheryl Crow in Nashville, and Kate Hudson in San Diego, with more guests to be announced soon.
“I’ve always loved telling the stories behind the stories,” Crowe said. “Now, with the 25th anniversary of ‘Almost Famous’ and the release of ‘The Uncool,’ I can’t wait to share these moments with the fans who have supported my work over the years. It’s going to be a blast!”
Tickets go on sale starting with a presale for fans on Thursday, September 18 at 10 AM local time. General sales begin on Friday, September 19 at 10 AM local via LiveNation.com.

Cameron Crowe started his career as the youngest contributor to Rolling Stone at just 15. He has interviewed legends like Bob Dylan, Elton John, and Joni Mitchell. As a filmmaker, he’s known for hits like “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “Vanilla Sky.” Currently, he’s working on a film about Joni Mitchell’s life and music. Crowe lives in Southern California with his three children.
