Limp Bizkit is back with a bang! Their new single, “Making Love to Morgan Wallen,” has made a splash by debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs, Alternative Digital Song Sales, and Hard Rock Digital Song Sales charts. This marks the first time the band has topped these charts, and it’s their first Billboard #1 since 2011 when their album Gold Cobra led the Top Hard Rock Albums chart.
The song is also climbing the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. The title comes from a memorable line where frontman Fred Durst raps about a unique encounter while Wallen’s music plays in the background: “I make this m* diamond-plated/ makin’ love to Morgan Wallen in an elevator.” He adds, “I’ll be turnin’ on you b like a generator/ I’ll be the greatest m* that you ever hated.”
At the start of the track, Durst pays tribute to late music icons Chester Bennington and David Bowie, rapping, “Damn, I miss you, Chester/ Sending love from a bass compressor/ Ground control with a soul like Bowie.”
Limp Bizkit’s last album, Still Sucks, was released in 2021. Fans are excited to see what else the band has in store!
