Lamb of God has just dropped a new single titled “Sepsis.” The song comes with a music video filmed in their hometown of Richmond, Virginia, and you can check it out on YouTube.
Guitarist Mark Morton shared that “Sepsis” pays tribute to the underground local bands that inspired them when they were starting out as Burn the Priest. He mentioned bands like Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, and Ladyfinger, which may not have gained fame outside Richmond but were a big part of their early music journey. The song reflects their roots and the vibe they had while writing their first material in a basement.
“Sepsis” follows their 2022 album, Omens. Since then, Lamb of God has collaborated with Mastodon on the single “Floods of Triton” and released a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Children of the Grave” after performing at the Back to the Beginning Ozzy Osbourne farewell concert.
Don’t miss the video, but be aware it contains uncensored profanity!
