Tomorrow X Together Initiates Youth Mental Health Initiative in Partnership with UNICEF

Tomorrow X Together, the K-Pop group famous for songs like “Crown” and “Sugar Rush Ride,” is taking a big step into mental health awareness. This week, they announced a new initiative at UNICEF’s New York City office, joined by mental health leaders from around the world.

The campaign focuses on promoting empathy in mental health, breaking the stigma around mental health issues, and empowering young people to build resilience. The members—Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai—were all there to launch the campaign. Their label, BIGHIT MUSIC, also committed $1.4 million for youth programs and awareness efforts.

Soobin shared, “Through our musical journey, we have learned that expressing emotion is a sign of strength. With our campaign with UNICEF, we want to help create a safe and inclusive space for youth to freely express their emotions.”

UNICEF leaders, including deputy executive director Kitty van der Heijden, also spoke at the event. The group added in a press release, “Whenever we faced struggles, empathy, kindness, and inclusion have helped us build stronger connections. With so many young people facing mental health challenges today, we are proud to join UNICEF in encouraging respectful interactions and supporting peers who may feel isolated.”

Since their debut in 2019, Tomorrow X Together has built a massive fanbase. They made history in 2023 as the first K-Pop group to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago. Their latest album, The Star Chapter: Together, released in July, topped the Billboard World Music chart and reached number 3 on the overall Billboard 200.
