Propaganda Unveils Exciting New 6-Disc Box Set Release

A new box set is set to celebrate Propaganda’s important role in synth-pop history. Titled *A Secret Sense of Rhythm, A Secret Sense of Sin (The Complete ZTT Propaganda)*, this 6CD collection focuses on the band’s work with the Zang Tuum Tumb label. Curated by ZTT archivist Ian Peel, the set will be released on November 14.

Propaganda was the first band to sign with ZTT, co-founded by Trevor Horn, a key figure in 1980s music known for his work with the Buggles, Art of Noise, and Yes. The anthology highlights their early recordings from 1983 to 1985.

Disc 1, titled *Secret*, features their debut album *A Secret Wish*, which includes contributions from artists like David Sylvian and Stewart Copeland. This disc offers two versions of the album: Propaganda’s *Analogue Sequence* and producer Stephen Lipson’s *Digital Variation*. It also includes popular singles like “Duel,” “Machinery,” and the iconic “Dr. Mabuse,” presented in both its album length and a 10-minute remix.

Disc 2, *Stahlnetz*, is an extended version of the remix album *Wishful Thinking*. Disc 3, *Singlette*, compiles three special EPs released only on cassette. Disc 4, *Series*, features Propaganda’s remixes for ZTT’s Action series. Disc 5, *Studio*, includes outtakes and alternate versions from their sessions at Sarm Studios. The final disc, *Stage*, showcases a previously unreleased version of “Dr. Mabuse” from the movie *Some Kind of Wonderful* and other mixes.

Alongside the box set, Propaganda will also release a 1LP reissue of *A Secret Wish* with a new mix by David Kosten. Don’t miss out on this exciting collection!
